Quiet Company - The Easy Confidence (What I Would Say To You Now) - We Are All Where We Belong (2011)

Really dig Taylor Muse’s perfectly, imperfect shrieking vocals as the song develops towards crescendo.

“…Oh my soul! Oh, my soul is tired, but I’ve got an itch to scratch, I’ve got a stone to throw, and I want to sink my teeth into your hollow bones.

I’ve got a bone to pick, and I want to pick it clean! Oh, the prodigal son and his shameful disbelief…”

LYRICS.

We Are All Where We Belong

Quiet Company - Never Tell Me The Odds - We Are All Where We Belong (2011)

Loving  - I rarely post songs from the same band on back to back days… But, I listened to these cats all last night and I can’t get enough of them this afternoon.

Bonus point: you can pick up the entire 15 song album via Quiet Company’s bandcamp page for only $5. A steal. Trust.

A little something for everybody on this album — some melodic tunes, some emotive ballads, some rock and some anthemic lyrical goodness… It’s a diverse mix of songs, that perfectly complement each other, into one highly addictive album.

This tune… I really dig the opening instrumentation, the sudden but subtle vocals and harmonies, the lyrics and the gradual build up of said vocals, instrumentation and harmonies to a wonderfully balanced crescendo. And, finally, the quiet and subdued close. So nice.

Expect more…
