Bob Dylan - Forever Young - Parenthood Soundtrack (2010)

An adaptation of the original and the title song for NBC’s Parenthood. It always stays with me after I hear it. I was catching up on the show this morning and it’s been stuck in my head all day. That’s not a bad thing.

Bob Dylan’s latest album, Tempest, is out now (dropped September 10, 2012). It’s gotten rave reviews and I couldn’t agree more. The ageless, master story-teller has put out another flat out fantastic album. Purchase it here.

"I think the truly natural things are dreams, which nature can’t touch with decay."

Bob Dylan

"All I can do is be me, whoever that is."

"‎”I don’t think the human mind can comprehend the past and the future. They are both just illusions that can manipulate you into thinking there’s some kind of change."

The Cave Singers - Seeds of Night - Invitation Songs (2007)

I love being re-introduced to an old favorite… To a song, once loved, but long since forgotten. A hint of the old fave brings a warm, familiar feeling… Such is the case with The Cave Singers - Seeds of Night (thank you for the reminder thesixtyone.com). Rustic mood, nasally tone, thoughtful lyrics, subtle instrumentation - it’s delicate, hypnotizing and dreamy. It lingers and it has made its way back to a place of prominence on my playlist. If you like My Morning Jacket or Band of Horses or Bob Dylan — you’ll really like The Cave Singers.
