The Ghost That Carried Us Away
Seabear - I Sing I Swim - The Ghost That Carried Us Away (2007)
Seabear is my musical accompaniment this afternoon.
I forgot how much I loved this song, both albums and the EP from these Icelanders (We Built A Fire - 2010, While The Fire Dies EP - 2010).
Hushed vocals, beautiful harmonies, an eclectic mix of instrumentation and thoughtful song-writing. It’s a recipe for a wonderful library of tunes but it leaves one wondering when we can expect new music from the group?
Granted Sindri Már Sigfússon (aka Sin Fang) and the other members of the band are working on other projects but I, for one, would love to see them reunite.

Seabear are:
Sindri Már Sigfússon
Gudbjörg Hlin Gudmundsdottir (Guggy)
Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir (Inga)
Halldór Ragnarsson (Dori)
Örn Ingi Ágústsson
Kjartan Bragi Bjarnason (Kjarten)
Sóley Stefánsdóttir (Sóley)
I may not be able to pronounce their names (without a little help) but I certainly relate to their music in a deep-rooted way. More Seabear please!
